The research study related to clinical oriented research and applications will focus on the study of the mechanism and the cause of reproductive disorders including infertility in dogs and cats. In addition, the translational aspects of research extend to the strong interests in developing new innovations and techniques to treat reproductive diseases and disorders that are commonly encountered in the clinical practice.
Mission
- To create the effective clinical management guidelines to treat reproductive disorders and infertility in dogs and cats
- To develop new innovations as diagnostic tools and treatment techniques for reproductive disorders and diseases
Research projects
- Canine transmissible venereal tumor with special reference to multidrug resistant associated gene and protein expression during vincristine sulfate administration
- Innovations in the diagnostic of prostate disorders by using a marker (canine prostatic specific arginine esterase) to diagnose benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and by using the magnetic resonance imaging
- Short- and long-term effects of intraprostatic injection with botulinum toxin type A in dogs
- Quality of morphologically normal and abnormal cat spermatozoa after freezing and thawing
- Comparison of medetomidine and xylazine in semen collection using urethral catheterization in domestic cats
